On-site Work Hardening
On-site Work Hardening is a structured and comprehensive treatment program designed to help injured workers return to their specific jobs. The program, performed at the worksites, prepares employees for return-to-work by building strength and endurance through a graded progression of work tasks.
The Center for Physical Therapy's well-trained, professional staff develops individualized programs for workers to follow at their jobsites. Treatment consists of proper body mechanics, stretching, strengthening, coordination, behavior modification, task modification, work pacing, and problem solving. The program also incorporates specialized equipment, hand tools, and various workstations.
Our therapists make sure that On-site Work Hardening treatments are coordinated, progress is monitored, and treatment plans are reviewed weekly. In addition, we guarantee that communication is facilitated among the treatment team members (the injured worker, physical therapist, physician, case manager, etc.).

The bodyweight-supported treadmill we use allows comfortable unweighting with air to decrease the ground reaction forces while providing stability and safety.
